About the Role
The Guiding team is at the heart of our rafting trip operations, providing guests with a memorable adventure while maintaining safety as the top priority.
Requirements
Navigate rafts with guests down the river through Class 1 – 4 whitewater in varying river levels and conditions
Delivering trip briefings and talks to guests
Raft rigging and de-rigging
Manage risk and follow safety protocols
Gear maintenance – washing gear at the end of each trip, inspecting safety equipment like helmets and life jackets
Provide outstanding service to guests
Qualifications
Minimum 3 to 4 years of commercial guiding experience on Class 3 – 4 rivers
Current First Aid certification (72 to 80 hour preferred)
Current Swiftwater Rescue certification
Experience guiding with oars
Prior experience trip leading an asset
Class 2 driver’s licence an asset
Excellent decision-making skills
Friendly, outgoing personality
Salary/Wage
$27.50 - $36 per hour depending on experience
