About the Role

Being a Tourism Ambassador is a lot like being on a mini-vacation. Ambassadors can generally be the first point of contact for visitors in the community. Duties include but not limited to: greet visitors and provide clear, accurate information on all local areas and activities, promote tourism products in our community, collect data and charting stats for Destination BC, carry out transactions and handle cash, answer phone calls, take messages, and gather information, Sanitization, practice keeping clean and safe workspace, and restocking brochures, souvenirs, and keeping inventory up to date.

Requirements

Ability to work well with others and keep a positive work environment, ability to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and hospitality, accountability, communication and time management skills are an asset. Class 5 drivers license if preferred. All training and courses are provided in house by Destination BC (Destination BC Visitor Centre Counsellor, Foundations of Service Quality, & Service For All)
