Requirements

A Surveillance Operator observes the activities of guests and employees via CCTV system with emphasis on searching for criminal activity and/or violation of policies and procedures as established by the company and BCLC. A key responsibility is to witness and accurately complete reports of irregularities through the proper chain of command.

  • Maintains the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality

  • Protects the safety of casino patrons, employees and company assets

  • Logs and responds to all radio and telephone communications

  • Maintains a log of routine tasks performed within the Surveillance Room and on the casino gaming floor

  • Utilizes cameras and other approved observational resources to document all activities in all areas of the property

  • Responsible for generating internal/external reports on gaming activity

  • Observes all internal cash asset transfers and escorts to ensure the integrity of casino as well as abiding by all BCLC policies/procedures

  • Performs other job-related duties, as requested by management

  • Responsible for providing professional and exceptional customer service in accordance with established company standards

  • Maintain working knowledge of company policies and procedures

  • Attend on-going job training as directed by management


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven superior customer service experience

  • Post-Secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience an asset

  • Previous gaming experience, or knowledge of casino games an asset

  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal, written and comprehension)

  • Highly proficient computer skills including knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Strong analytical and observational skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Friendly, outgoing and professional

  • Strong mathematical skills

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays based on operational needs

  • Must not have family or personal relations with casino employees, in accordance with BCLC regulations

  • Must not be colour blind


CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration

  • Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings

  • Serving it Right Certification


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs

  • Required to sit for extended periods of time with several monitors and computers

  • Must be able to work in an environment with no natural light


Salary/Wage

22.46/hour
