About the Role
This role entails overseeing the upkeep of crucial infrastructure such as potable water, septic, hydroelectric, and power generation systems. Additionally, responsibilities extend to grounds-keeping, building maintenance, dock and trail upkeep, as well as waste management including garbage and recycling. Proficiency in operating small motor vessels is essential, while experience as a crew boat operator is highly valued. Flexibility is key as the Resort Maintenance Person may provide support to other departments, including kitchen or housekeeping assistance, ensuring smooth operations across the resort.
Requirements
The Resort Maintenance position requires basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical skills. Maintenance includes the scheduled oil changes and service of 2 diesel generators and UTV.
Efficient time management skills to meet demands while ensuring a healthy work balance.

QUALIFICATIONS
Small Water Systems Operator certification is an asset.
Basic working knowledge of vessel safety with SVOP Marine Emergency and Restricted Radio Operator certifications are an asset.
Knowledge of governmental safety and sanitation regulations
Basic working knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools including chainsaw. Chainsaw operator certification is an asset.
Effective decision making and critical thinking skills.
Self-motivated with a cheerful outlook and a consistent display of professionalism.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The job requires the incumbent to safely lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
The job requires the incumbent to live at Klahoose Wilderness Lodge during work shifts.
The applicant should be in good physical condition. Klahoose Wilderness Resort infrastructure is found on steep terrain and the maintenance person must access all these areas for maintenance.
Exposure to varying temperatures both indoors and outdoors.
