About the Role
The position(s) would be full time, from June until September with some potential for shoulder season work. The position encompasses many duties, some of which are:
-Lake patrols to enforce Park rules and regulations
-Overseeing the morning canoe rentals
-Maintaining camp areas and infrastructure
-Keeping hiking trails clear and safe
The position(s) are at Murtle Lake Provincial Park working as Park Patrol and as Operators of Murtle Lake Canoe Rental. While on schedule, staff are required to live on-site in a remote, boat-access cabin at the lake.
Requirements
Love of the outdoors.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Boating experience or at least paddling experience.
Comfortable living in a remote location
Self-starter and confidence in oneself to adapt to new experiences.
Small engine maintenance or mechanically inclined.
Physically fit for heavy lifting and prolonged hikes.
Chainsaw and brushcutter experience preferred.
Salary/Wage
19 -21/hour
