Requirements
Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, rebuilds, constructs and maintains all infrastructures including the Water Treatment Plant, Sewer and Plumbing systems, all buildings and all ski lift ramps, and all restaurant equipment.
Constructs and renovates structures from ground excavation to all finishing work.
Maintains the fire system including all buildings and portable equipment.
All other duties assigned
Required Qualifications and Abilities
Completion of Journeyman certificate in plumbing or carpentry preferred
Small Water system and gas fitting certificates an asset
Minimum of 3 years related experience required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other specifications and technical information
Ability to prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, and use hand and power tools as well as computerized machinery
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
Good communication skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable, and able to work well with others in a team environment.
Willing and able to work shift work, including weekends.
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Working Conditions
This position takes place on a ski resort mountain in the winter and a summer activities resort in the summer. The Electrical department works up top as well as at the base of the mountain. Work will take place indoors and outdoors, on mountain terrain and weather dependent.
