About the Role

Qualifications for Massage Therapists at Baldface Lodge:

Completion of a comprehensive massage program consisting of a minimum of 1000+ hours. Possession of a diploma or certificate from an institution recognized by the governing body of the profession in your province or state. This includes designations such as:

Registered Massage Therapist or Massage Therapist
Registered Massage Practitioner or Massage Practitioner
Spa Practitioner

The Massage Therapist is responsible for ensuring that all guests receive a level of care at the highest standards. This person shall ensure guests feel welcome and are provided with a relaxing and rejuvenating massage. The position will be responsible for performing additional tasks with the housekeeping and kitchen teams. There is an expectation that the therapist will be capable to perform the five (5) massages per day made available to the guests.

Requirements

  • Perform scheduled guest massages during shifts.

  • Lead morning warm-up sessions for guests on a rotational basis with other practitioners.

  • Manage the pre-booked daily schedule and sign-up sheet.

  • Extend a warm welcome to guests upon their arrival, assisting those wishing to modify their pre-booked massages and scheduling any available massage slots.

  • Whenever possible, participate in the guest talk and introduction during the first night’s dinner.

  • Clarify massage services and explain the process of reserving available slots to guests.

  • Greet guests as they return from their daily adventures.

  • Compile Baldface invoices for massages during intervals between treatments or at the end of each day.

  • Maintain a consistently clean and organized state of the massage rooms. After every session, thoroughly sanitize the entire table and headrest.

  • Ensure meticulous daily cleaning of massage rooms, including laundering linens and towels.

  • Manage the inventory of massage supplies and relay replenishment needs to the office.

  • Support the housekeeping and kitchen teams with assigned morning duties (approximately 4 hours collectively, shared among practitioners on shift).

  • Assist housekeeping in collecting and delivering linens to chalets on transfer days (approximately 6 hours collectively, shared among practitioners on shift).
