About the Role

Responsible for delivering and serving Food & Beverage items to guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Set up room service trays and tables to prepare for incoming orders.
Retrieve Food & Beverage orders from the kitchen and bar and deliver to guests or meeting rooms
Serve meals to guests, collect guest trays and respond to guests requests
Present checks to guest and obtain payment
Set up trays and supplies
Mini Bar duties include the following:
Take inventory and restock mini-bars
Inspect mini-bars to ensure proper functioning
Clean mini-bars as needed

Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduation

  • Degree/Diploma in a Hospitality program as asset

  • Minimum 1- year experience preferably in a busy Food & Beverage outlet

  • Must have basic knowledge of Food & Beverage preparations

  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper inventory and to compute guest checks if necessary

  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items

  • Ability to read, speak and write the English language in order to communicate with guests, second language an asset

  • Able to respond to common inquiries or requests from guests

  • Ability to write legibly to complete required paperwork

  • Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively

  • Problem solving and decision -making ability demonstrated by adequate solutions to presented problems.

  • Likes a fast paced environment.

  • Please note you must be able to work am and pm shifts and weekends.


Salary/Wage

19.44 hour
