Hotel General Manager

As General Manager, your key responsibilities and priorities will be:

• Direct oversight of all hotel operations, staff, infrastructure, and property.

• Establishing an efficient and desirable workplace culture while investing in its staff.

• Setting a high bar for hospitality and guest experience from booking to checkout.

• Incorporating Tahltan culture and values into the hotel’s operations and workplace.

• Fostering a strong relationship with local communities and other tourism businesses.

• Budget development, financial management, and oversight over payables.

• Managing contractor relationships to ensure hotel infrastructure is well-maintained.

• Implementing strategic initiatives to improve operations, revenue, and profitability.

• Marketing initiatives and communications for business growth.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A passion for hospitality and excellent customer service.

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in hospitality or related fields.

• Ideally, experience in operating businesses in remote northern indigenous communities.

• A strong foundation in business administration, accounting, HR, or hospitality management.

• Proven critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to lead organizational change.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with staff and local stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with technology and software, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.

• BC Driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Salary/Wage

$70,000 - $80,000
