About the Role
Responsible for ensuring that our guests are treated in a manner that will create a positive experience and a repeat guest
Responsible for the proper maintenance of all Guest Services records
Responsible for guest check-in and departure
Responsible for proper accounting practices
Maintaining current knowledge of Vancouver area attractions and points of interest
Responsible for following all security and safety procedures to ensure the safety of our guests and team members
Responsible for maintaining proper and efficient communication with various departments within the hotel
Requirements
Completion of High School G.E.D. or equivalent
Completion of Hotel courses would be an asset, such as V.C.C.
Two years experience in a guest services position
Night audit experience is an asset
Fluency in written and verbal English. A second language would be a definite asset. Preference given to those who speak Portuguese, Korean, Dutch and/or German
Must be available to work AM and PM shifts, all days of the week
Flexibility with shifts is a must
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of PMS systems, preferably Royal Suite
Excellent telephone skills. Use of a PBX, voicemail and wakeup system is a must
Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Salary/Wage
Commensurate with experience - $20.50 to start
