About the Role
Position Title: Content Marketing Coordinator (One Year Term)
Department: Marketing
Schedule: Full-time, one-year term, may include weekends and statutory holidays, on-site.
Salary Range: $20-$23/hour, based on experience
Job Location: In Office (This is not a remote position)
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Content Marketing Coordinator will support marketing priorities with a key focus on content marketing, including video capture/editing, copywriting, research, and digital asset management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
-Create social media content and calendar, including capturing photo/video content, editing reels, TikTok and Youtube videos (must have video editing skills), writing social captions, conducting hashtag research and staying up to date on social media and content marketing trends/best practices.
-Co-manage all social media channels, engaging communities (e.g. answering DMs, managing comments, engaging with similar accounts, and fielding inquiries about the resort) on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, X, and LinkedIn with the goal of increasing Pacific Sands Beach Resort’s online reach, engagement, and conversions.
-Assist in writing copy and creating content for the website, email campaigns, and other initiatives, which may involve collaborating with third-party partners.
-Ensure that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies are effectively implemented
-Conduct content marketing research, including but not limited to: SEO opportunities, potential partnerships with brands and or influencers, and more.
-Manage digital assets and maintain the organization of digital content and related files.
-Act as a liaison between the Marketing Department and the Guest Services and Reservation Departments to communicate upcoming marketing initiatives.
-Assist with organizing local events and participate acting as a representative of Pacific Sands Beach Resort.
-Act as the marketing representative on the property when the Marketing Manager is offsite, on holidays, or on days off.
-Other marketing and communications duties as required.
Assist the Guest Services/Reservations teams with bookings/front desk when required (candidate will be fully trained in Guest Services SOPs and our PMS)
Requirements
1+ years experience in Content Creation and social media
strong video capture and editing skills
The ability to bring a creative approach to telling the story of Pacific Sands Beach Resort
Enrollment or completion in Marketing/Communications Post-Secondary Education (including online certifications) or relevant experience in a destination marketing position.
Willing to continue learning, attend conferences, take courses/classes to continue to develop communication and marketing skills.
Nice to haves:
Experience with CMS’s such as WordPress or other website builders
Experience in Hospitality, Sales, and/or Marketing
Photography experience

Must be legally able to work in Canada for a 1 year term.
