About the Role

•Monthly adjust the food menu with feedback.
•Improve the current menu by creating new recipes and introducing new styles of authentic Japanese dishes.
•Determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
•Prepare food and cook dishes, present high-quality food, and handle rush hour orders.
•Organize daily preparation schedule.
•Ensure all food preparation meets standards.
•Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
•Supervise junior cooks and kitchen helpers in the preparation and handling of food.
•Arrange for supplies and equipment purchase and equipment repairs.

Additional requirement:
•No criminal record.
•Work extra hours when necessary.

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education.

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial Japanese cuisine cooking experience

  • Ability to make authentic Japanese dishes such as sushi and sashimi.

  • Ability to supervise cooks with advanced cooking skills.

  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

  • Willingness to be flexible with working hours.



Salary/Wage

24.5-25.5/hr
