About the Role
• Solicit, negotiate, and generate contracted business in alignment with the hotel business plan and the direction of the Director of Sales.
• Monitor production of top accounts, evaluate market trends, and exceed sales solicitation call goals.
• Conduct professional site inspections of the hotel, showcasing key features and benefits to clients.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings, contributing new ideas and identifying sales opportunities.
• Communicate bookings and customer needs to on-site hotel employees for seamless transitions.
• Represent St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino at industry tradeshows, client events, and conferences, with travel as required.
• Prospect for new business using various methods, including phone calls, sales system database, outside sales calls, community functions, and internet prospecting.
• Engage with primary third-party business representatives in local, regional, and national events to secure ideal business opportunities for the Resort.
• Regularly engage key account clients and decision-makers remotely to present proposals, negotiate contracts, and build lasting relationships.
• Employ revenue management techniques to recommend corporate rate proposals.
• Respond to Requests for Proposals promptly, ensuring prospective clients receive the best possible offers.
• Develop, implement, and modify sales action plans.
• Manage an accurate and up-to-date contact information database in the Resorts CRM.
• Collaborate with the Events Manager on proposals involving guestrooms and event space/food and beverage.
• Negotiate and close contracts aligned with the hotel’s business plan objectives.
• Work closely with the Director of Sales to outline goals for the group market.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales to exceed budgetary goals through strategic business layering.
• Manage all group sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
• Assist in preparing and compiling data for the strategic sales plan for the Director of Sales.
• Contribute to rate development and deployment strategies through competitive data review, demand analysis, and mix management.
• Liaise with all Department Heads and operating departments to uphold the service promise to guests related to groups in-house.
• Participate with the Director in identifying opportunities and providing recommendations for improving efficiency, service quality, and operating standards.
• Participate in sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings.
-Work directly with the Events Manager on proposals involving both guestrooms and event space/food and beverage, ensuring a seamless and integrated approach to client offerings.
Requirements
This is a remote position located in a key target market of Calgary, with occasional on-site presence required at St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino. Travel expenses will be covered by the company.
Must have completed High-school education or equivalent.
Post-secondary education an asset, preferably in the field of business, sales or tourism.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with indigenous tourism and businesses.
Experience in the indigenous tourism sector an asset
Experience in a hotel or resort workplace is an asset
Salary/Wage
$55,000-$60,000
