About the Role
This position is available on a full-time basis however it can be combined as two part-time positions within the Front Office such as Reservations Agent & Small Groups Coordinator or Guest Service Representative.
Financial Commitment Incentive available.
Objectives:
• Take and process reservation calls
• Monitoring and responding to all email inquiries
• Manage the day to day flow of online bookings
• Group rooming list entry
• Ongoing checks for accuracy and guest confirmations
• Clerical duties such as maintenance of reservations files and day to day operational paperwork are required
• Daily administration tasks such as filing and faxing
• This position will also be expected to assist on the Guest Reception desk in a limited capacity as a Guest Service Representative when necessary
• Some Concierge related tasks
Requirements
Exemplary guest service skills and demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations
Superior communication skills
A calm and capable demeanor
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment, and creative problem solving skills are necessary
A professionally groomed appearance
A positive and pro-active attitude
Minimum 2 years experience in the Service Industry or 1 year of experience in a high-end luxury facility is necessary
Previous Reservations or Guest Service experience
A valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent an asset
A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of the Front Office Department and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole
Working knowledge of Maestro, Epitome, Online systems (e.g. Synxis), Pro Salon, Word and Excel an asset
A mutual understanding of your employment duration will be determined during your interview
