About the Role
The Rental Centre Supervisor is responsible for hands-on supervision of all aspects of a high-volume rental/repair shop operation. High levels of efficiency, safety, and guest/team satisfaction are the focus of the job.
Requirements
Oversee all opening/closing procedures for rental/repair shop
Onboard and train rental and cashier team as required
Administer the sign in and job assignment of rental technician and cashier teams
Maintain efficient team levels as dictated by volume of business
Follow company polices as well and leading Rentals team to do the same
Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction
Monitor and oversee daily organization and cleanliness of the shop
Complete and/or oversee daily cash out and balancing procedures
Complete all required paperwork/documentation for rental operation
Work with Repairs Team to ensure proper maintenance of all rental equipment
Communicates effectively with other departments as required
Oversee and assist with guest interactions & transactions
Be confident in managing guest expectations and seamlessly ensuring guest experience recovery
Monitor and maintain safety requirements within the rental operation
Support, motivate, coach, and recognize performance amongst the Rentals team and document performance
Contribute to overall department goals
Performing other related duties as assigned by General Manager or Senior Leadership Team
Qualifications/Competencies:
Min 1 years Supervisory experience
People focused with high level of customer care experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving and decision making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism
Ability to remain calm and courteous when under pressure
Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to remain organized and courteous under pressure

Well organized, punctual, hardworking, self-motivated and outgoing

Good knowledge of both ski and snowboard equipment
Ski binding manufacturer certification knowledge and qualifications
Equipment tuning/repair/testing knowledge and experience
RTP software system experience as asset
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Regularly required to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, balance, reach above shoulder and head
Must use hands and fingers to handle or feel, write, type, manipulate objects; reach with arms and/or hands
Ability to lift 25 lbs
Must possess the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, and/or snow and ice-covered surfaces, stairs and/or ladders
Must have the ability to tolerate exposure to work in all weather conditions
Availability:
This is a full time position, working 5 days/week, including weekends, evenings, winter holidays and spring break
Start/End Date: Early November – mid-April (weather and business volume dependent)
Length of employment is dependent on seasonal operations
Regular availability during the Winter Holidays and Spring Break is a requirement for employment
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be able to legally work in Canada
Valid driver’s license
A reliable/insured vehicle with winter tires to get to/from work (no shuttle service in the off season months)
Salary/Wage
$ 21/hour
