About the Role
The Night Shift/Janitorial Crew is an integral part of the base operations team. As a member of this crew, you are responsible for the nightly operation of the Valley Station and surrounding areas. Tasks include but are not limited to; janitorial and cleaning duties, snow removal, shipping and receiving, vehicle operation and safe operation of the aerial tramway system. This shift runs overnight from 9:00pm to 7:00am on average, 4 days a week.
Requirements
Responsible for janitorial and cleaning duties in all offices, washrooms, and buildings
Upkeep of all surrounding grounds and parking lots at the base of the mountain
Shovelling and removal of snow from all public areas, walkways, and stairs in winter season
Shipping and receiving of freight and product
Operating various types of vehicles including pickup trucks and forklift
Safe operation of aerial tramway systems
All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility
This position reports directly to the Base Operations Manager with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions
Night Shift / Janitorial Crew perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. This position is a graveyard shift and may include rotation of shifts, weekends and statutory holidays.
