About the Role
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will have experience as Housekeeping/Guest Services Supervisor in a similar property environment. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Ensuring exceptional cleanliness and orderliness of the guest rooms and suites, public areas, back-of-house areas, as well as supporting of the laundry department
Ensure all areas of the PureClean program are executed
These are working Supervisor positions and will require assistance in cleaning of guest rooms and public areas as required.
Daily room inspections and ongoing support of team members.
Maintaining supply and equipment inventories and ensuring the team has the right tools to do the job
Reports to the Housekeeping Manager, and collaborates daily with all other departments, in particular the Front Office Team and Maintenance.
Ensuring that Health, Wellness & Safety standards are met and exceeded, including knowledge of and proper use of cleaning and other chemicals, proper lifting procedures, etc.
Providing daily ongoing support and training as required.
Supporting fair and effective scheduling and ongoing coaching of the team members
Requirements
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented, energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented individual, with a minimum of two (2) years in a Housekeeping/Guest Service lead or Supervisory role in a similar property environment.
Strong knowledge of housekeeping room attendant, house person and laundry roles
An exceptional eye for detail, with a commitment to service excellence
Exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills for both our internal and external clients
The initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and resolve them in a timely manner with sound decision-making skills
Ability to work in a time sensitive daily environment with proven empowerment philosophy
Must be health and safety focused with the ability to pull, bend, stretch reach and lift as a part of daily requirements
WHMIS Certification and First Aid a definite asset
Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, OPERA or similar Property Management System.
Must be legally able to work in Canada
