About the Role
The Front Desk Duty Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Front Desk in order to WOW our guests. The ideal candidate for this position is friendly, detail-oriented, and is able to communicate effectively.
A successful candidate will be required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
Requirements
Manage the day to day operations at the Front Desk to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, standards and satisfying and exceeding the guests’ expectations
Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed
Research, recommend and introduce Front Office procedures and programs to improve the overall operation of the Front Office
A proactive approach to guest comments and or issues, ensuring these are handled in a timely and professional manner meeting or exceeding guest expectations
Assume full responsibilities for the department in the absence of the Front Office Manager Assist in training new staff members, coach them and monitor their performance
Understands Front Desk positions well enough to perform duties in employees’ absence
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
Minimum three (3) years hospitality management or front desk experience
Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset
A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent is considered an asset
Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
Excellent problem-solving skills, communication and reporting skills, customer service & people skills and flexible schedule availability
Salary/Wage
45000-48000
