About the Role
The FIT Tour Coordinator is part of the FIT department handling all aspects of booking and operating individual tours throughout Canada and Alaska. Journeys Across Canada is a wholesale receptive tour operator – our clients are tour operators in Europe, Australia, North America.
Requirements
Working with our in house reservation system to quote, book and operate tours for individual (FIT) clients.
Working with international tour operators to design custom itineraries for their clients traveling to Canada and Alaska.
Loading and updating rates for non-hotel tour products in the booking system (e.g. sightseeing tours, transfers, trains activities).
Canceling tours that do not materialize.
Preparing document kits for clients (30-15 days before tour starts).
Booking hotels, attractions, tours, transfers and other services in the booking system
Attending supplier functions in Vancouver and learning the tourism product throughout Canada
Handling emergency calls out of hours (in rotation)
Requirements:
– Fluency in English both written and spoken
– Must hold a valid permit to reside and work in Canada.
