About the Role
Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards
Lead by example and be a pro-active member of The Pointe Restaurant Team
Skillfully guide guests through available food & beverage options, assisting with selections
Be knowledgeable about and accurately describe all menu items and respond to guest questions on ingredients and preparation
Effectively communicate orders to our Culinary Team through use of Silverware POS
Be an exemplary team member in managing side duties and keeping the restaurant guest ready at all times
Accurate balancing of cash-outs, and completion of all administrative duties relative to the position
Prepare and serve Barista style coffees
Assistance in selection of the appropriate wine or spirit to accompany the meal
Requirements
Willingness to learn in a team environment while striving to exceed Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards
Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant environment
Good knowledge of food, wine, beer and spirits
An appreciation for detail, and a passion for guest service
Professional and positive attitude in every aspect of the position
Consistent punctuality and dedication
A calm, polite and composed demeanor
A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of The Pointe Restaurant and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole.
Valid Serving It Right Certification
Self-motivation in learning extensively about wines and spirits.
A mutual understanding of your employment duration will be determined during your interview
